I know God loves me. But sometimes I wonder if it’s just empty words. When I am in my dark places, I need something practical. I need to see that He has proven his love in the past. This makes it easier to believe He could do it again.
Deuteronomy 6:22-23, NIV says: “Before our eyes the Lord sent signs and wonders—great and terrible—on Egypt and Pharaoh and his whole household. But he brought us out from there to bring us in and give us the land he promised on oath to our ancestors.”
This is what God did for the Israelites: He freed them from Egypt, and placed them in a new land. He is the same God today. What He did for the Israelites, He can also do for me and you. What is your promised land? He will set you free from where you are now, and put you in a new situation.
Seeing what He did for the Israelites, helps me believe that he will do the same for me. It’s not too late. He has a plan for you and He has a plan for me.
Do you believe that God would perform the same miracles for you as He did for the Israelites? Sometimes, in order to believe that He wants to give me miracles, I need to know why. Why would God want to do that for me?
The answer is so simple. Because he loves me.
I believe God freed the Israelites because of His love for them.
Deuteronomy 7:9, NIV says: “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”
His love for us is endless. Because He loves me, He will do big things for me. Do you believe that? I do. His love is greater than I will ever understand, but that won’t stop me from trying. The more I read about His love for me, the more I want to read about His love for me!
What do you need to be freed from today? Do you believe He is big enough to conquer it?
Thank you for loving me.
Help me to believe that even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Thank you for bringing me to a new land.
Help me believing your promises.
In Jesus’ name,
In His love,
