//Sometimes forgiveness is painful.
I want to hold on. I don’t want to let go.
But I know it’s what He wants. And in the end, my desire is to obey. Not to put my feelings on a pedestal.
Forgiveness in its purest form is surrender. It’s putting down my wants, and following Him.
Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts you can give and receive. Forgiving another is a gift to yourself.
Sometimes forgiveness is painful.//
It hurts to let go. It hurts to hold on. But when I release it, a transformation occur.
It’s almost magical. The painful place becomes this light area where you can breathe.
And so you breathe.
This light area is the one thought I want to hold on to, the next time.
Because there will be a next time.
A next time to take the opportunity to forgive.
The light area will make it easier to forgive.
In His love,
